Scriptural Ground

Brothers and sisters, stop thinking like children. In regard to evil be infants, but in your thinking be adults (1 Corinthians 14:20 NIV).

Prayer of Approach

Lord God Almighty, whose presence governs all things, draw near to me as I seek you out. You know the things that have been troubling my mind. You know what has been disturbing my soul. Grant me the insight that you are able to give that with renewed mind I may find myself entering into your perspective and embracing your direction for moving forward in my life. Change me through the renewal of my mind. Turn me away from the distractions that blur the truth of your Word.

Through the Lord Jesus Christ, hear this prayer.

Amen.

A Moment With God

The thoughts that crowd our minds at times need to be sifted through to ensure that we do not make improper decisions in the various situations of life. The Christian soul ought always to be concerned with what is pleasing to the Lord Jesus Christ. As various options are weighed in the decision-making process insight from the Word of God is able to provide us with appropriate thinking for a solution to our concerns. Let us then be prepared to have our thinking ordered by what is written in the Scriptures as we search through them diligently and ponder them carefully as they pertain to our particular situations. It is then that we will find ways of addressing our minds to what is before us in a manner that honours the God to whom we belong.
