Scriptural Ground

 

Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful (Joshua 1:8 NIV).

 

Prayer of Approach

 

Into your presence I come again Lord Jesus. You want me to walk with you in this season of new life as always. You want me to worship you fervently. Cause your Word never to depart from my mind. Let it draw near to me to order my thoughts afresh as it brings your instruction, releases your direction, provides true correction, supplies deep understanding, inspires enduring faith, grants eternal meaning to life and redefines standards for living. Bring forth in my life the fruit of developing a relationship with you based on what is written in Holy Scripture. Cause me to search your Word again as I seek to follow where you lead. Let true prosperity reign in my life as you enrich my soul through exposure to your ways among your people as these have been recorded in the pages of your Book. Put into clear perspective the success that you would have me to enjoy as I acquaint myself with what has been recorded for the benefit of each successive generation of those who have been granted access to your household of faith. Hear and receive this prayer in your holy and precious Name. Amen.

 

A Moment With God

 

God has not left us alone to wander aimlessly along the paths that time offers to the human soul. There is a way to prosperity that He makes known to us. It is possible truly to be successful in this life. It is the counsel of God that renews our minds and deepens our understanding that we may embrace all that is necessary for true growth and development in this world in which we have been placed. Time invested in understanding one’s existence from the perspective of the Word of God is time that yields rewards of eternal value. Where confusion seemed to be in control new vision is received. Where meaninglessness appeared to reign there significance presents itself supreme. Where gloom hung about thickly pure light is able to break through. It has been so in every generation. Hopelessness has given way to faith. Out of sorrow has arisen joy. From the depths of despair the sovereign Lord has plucked the shattered soul and made it whole again. Find your peace therefore in this Word of God and rediscover life characterized by the marks of prosperity and success in living for God.
