Scriptural Ground

 

But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way (1 Corinthians 14:40 NIV).

 

Prayer of Approach

 

In your kingdom, O God, there is the recognition that good order must prevail in order for life to develop properly. You ensure that there is reliability concerning the day and the night. You keep the earth spinning in its orbit at just the right distance from the sun to ensure that life as we know it can be sustained. You cause your truth to prevail within and across generations to bring into your presence those who will humbly acknowledge that it is you who oversee the various paths along which life unfolds. Teach the value of adhering to the directions that come from your Word. Your paths are the paths that lead to life and there are no other. Help me to discover the way that is fitting and orderly as I seek to discharge the various responsibilities laid upon me with the coming of each new day. Be in the midst of what I am offering to you as I seek to serve those whom you have placed around me with your presence that it may be known that you are reaching out to them and inviting them to partake of your blessing for their lives.

Through the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, hear and receive this prayer.

A Moment With God

 

God wants us to get the most out of the lives that we live. A haphazard approach to what we must do as time unfolds does not contribute to achieving this objective. Everything that needs to be attended to fits in somewhere exactly so as not to work against all that needs to be accomplished in the given period of  time. When we do not take the time that is allotted to us to assess properly the correct order for our actions, it becomes more and more difficult than it should be as we seek to move forward in our quest to achieve success. Grasping the order in which things must be done puts one in a position of tremendous advantage as the quest to achieve success unfolds. Let us then make every effort to determine exactly what are the constituent parts of the whole that we are trying to establish. Let us further ensure that we have gained as much insight as possible into the order that exists among the various parts as we move to attend to what each part demands of us. Finally, let us truly attend to all that is required of us by each part of the overall task that we are seeking to accomplish that we may have the success that is intended for us at the appropriate time.
